Key Verse: “Now faith is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see.” — Hebrews 11:1 (NIV)
Theme: Faith means trusting God even when we can’t see Him.

Welcome, Explorer!
Let’s go on an adventure through one of the most powerful verses in the Bible!
Have you ever believed something was true, even though you couldn’t see it yet? Maybe you believed your birthday gift was hidden in the closet… or trusted your parent to catch you when you jumped into the pool.
That’s kind of like faith!
Hebrews 11:1 tells us what faith really is:
“Faith is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see.”
Let’s break that down.
What Does That Mean?
Confidence means you’re sure about something.
Assurance means you believe it in your heart—even if your eyes can’t see it.
So when you have faith in God, you trust that He:
- Loves you completely.
- Hears your prayers.
- Keeps His promises.
- Is always with you—even when you don’t see Him.
Faith isn’t pretending. It’s trusting the One who is always faithful.
Chunky D. Monkey’s Big Questions!
“Hmm… if I can’t see God, how do I know He’s real?”

That’s a great question, Chunky!
We may not see God with our eyes, but we see what He does:
- The beauty in nature
- The way our hearts feel peace when we pray
- Miracles in the Bible—and in our lives!
God gives us His Word and His Spirit to help us believe.

“Scanning Hebrews 11… Beep beep! Did you know? Hebrews 11 is sometimes called the Faith Hall of Fame because it lists people who trusted God no matter what!”

Let’s look at a few of them:
- Noah trusted God and built a huge boat—even though it hadn’t rained!
- Abraham left everything behind to follow God’s plan.
- Moses led God’s people through the Red Sea!
They all had this in common:
They believed God would do what He said—even before they saw it happen.
Let’s Think About It
➡️ Can you think of a time you had to trust God before you saw the answer?
Maybe you prayed for something and had to wait.
Maybe you were scared but chose to be brave because you knew God was with you.
That’s faith!
Let’s Pray Together
Dear God,
Thank You for showing me what real faith looks like.
Even when I can’t see what’s ahead, I know You’re with me.
Help me to trust You more every day.
Amen.
