The Finger of God Is Moving: A Prophetic Storm of Transformation
I want to share a vision the Lord gave me—something that stirred deeply in my spirit and became the heart of my message at AWE 25 – CONSECRATE! hosted by Shiloh Fellowship and Patricia King Ministries.
? A Storm Like No Other
This vision took me back to a moment in my life when my sister survived an F5 tornado—one of the strongest and most destructive forces in nature. They’re sometimes referred to in popular culture as the “Finger of God” because of how precise and powerful their touch can be. My sister survived by getting into a storm shelter. She told me that before the storm hit, she heard the sound—a roar, a warning, an undeniable alarm.
That detail stayed with me. Because I believe that’s exactly the kind of season we are in right now.
We’ve heard the sound—the prophetic warnings, the spiritual rumblings, the whispers of a coming move. Now, we’re in the storm. But this isn’t destruction—it’s divine transformation. The Finger of God is moving across the landscape of the Church, the culture, and our lives, reshaping everything in its path.
? The Sound Before the Storm
Just like Elijah heard the sound of rain before it fell (1 Kings 18:41) and the disciples heard the rushing wind before the Holy Spirit came at Pentecost (Acts 2:2), this season has been preceded by sound. Alarms. Shaking. Wake-up calls.
But now—the move has begun.
? Take Refuge in the Rock
When storms come, the safest place isn’t to stand tall and resist. The safest place is to go low. To bow. To hide in the Rock.
Isaiah 2:10 says, “Go into the rocks, hide in the ground from the fearful presence of the Lord and the splendor of His majesty.”
Psalm 18:2 reminds us, “The Lord is my rock, my fortress and my deliverer… in whom I take refuge.”
When the Finger of God moves, it’s not just to tear down—it’s to rebuild, realign, and reveal His glory. It’s a call to consecration, to humility, and to intimacy with Jesus.
? A Changed Landscape
After a storm like that, nothing looks the same. Trees are uprooted. Roads are gone. Familiar places are altered. That’s what happens when God touches a culture.
But here’s the beautiful part:
➡️ Those who have taken refuge in the Rock will rise in strength.
➡️ Those who have bowed low will be lifted high.
➡️ Those who have consecrated themselves will be commissioned with authority.
Isaiah 43:19 says, “See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it?”
We’re not returning to what was—we’re being invited into what’s next.
? So What Do We Do?
This is a time to respond—not react.
It’s a time to bow—not boast.
It’s a time to build on the Rock—not on sand. (Matthew 7:24–25)
Let the storm draw you deeper. Let the wind drive you to your knees. Let the shaking awaken something holy in you.
? Final Thoughts
The Finger of God is moving—not just to shake, but to shape.
Not just to disrupt, but to deliver.
Not just to test, but to transform.
May we be a people who say, “Yes, Lord. Have Your way. Reshape me. Refine me. Consecrate me for this new season.”
We’ve heard the sound. Now let’s emerge from the storm changed—ready to walk in the fullness of what He’s doing.
